Such things have also passed through my mind. I've studied psychology and the physiology of the brain quite a bit (though not formally I must add).
She was into some quite extreme activities, but, she didn't exhibit a lot of other behaviour traits of the abused, so...

Psychology is a very imprecise 'science'.
