I play poker. There are lots of web sites where you can play poker for money or for play money. And many of them are offering tournaments to win seats in the WSOP and other big cash tournaments. All you have to do is go to their site and download their program, register and you're in. You can play against other people with free play chips if you want; a good way to get a feel for how the game works online with a mouse. Then you can open an account and play for real money and enter tournaments. Hey Again mentioned PokerStars. A couple other good and well established sites are Paradise Poker and PartyPoker.
The best place for information about what the various sites are offering is Card Player magazine. If there's any kind of casino around you with a poker room they'll have it. There is a website but I don't think it has the ads in it. But their site is excellent and has links to other poker sites. That should get you started. Good luck!
