I've got a Sub-2000 in 9mm (Beretta M9 mags)... but something tells me you want the Glock variant so go with your current inventory.
If you're going to do the 9mm carbine thing and don't mind using another type of magazine, the Marlin Camp Carbine 9 is a really good.
I've had one for years. It's old school durable (tough as hell construction) and uses S&W 59-series magazines. Very red dot friendly.

Google "Box of Truth" and check out the various penetration tests. It's good stuff.
