Pakistan WAS my favourite team at a time when Wasim Akram, Imran Khan and Waqar Younis, along with a swag of other pakistani legends played in the late 90's.
Since those days pakistan has been continuously plagued by corruption and match fixing allegations. the most recent being a few months ago when a few of the players were caught in a sting operation by the extremely classy UK paper, the News of the World.
Pakistan can kiss my ass when it comes to getting my support from now on in. all those times i supported them and they thank me by filling their pockets with money while i sit there wondering why their top order collapsed or why theres been 3 wide balls and a no-ball bowled in an over.
screw you pakistan. im going for your arch-enemy India this year.
the aussies are in with a chance, but are plagued by injuries of late and are missing Mr Cricket himself. They still have a solid 1-day side, coupled with the fact that they just trounced the pommies 6-1 ( or was that 7-1...i lost count), so dont discount them just yet. should the aussies take out the world cup, they'd become the first team in history to three-peat. if the aussies an indians end up in the final, i may well switch teams and barrack for the aussies in the hope of seeing history.
