The 360 comes with Windows Media Center. If you have a Windows box, it's an awesome interface for streaming music, movies & photos from your pc. Plus there are tons of plug-ins available that expand its capabilities even more.
Yes, Xbox Live is a paid subscription, but it is leaps and bounds ahead of the free PS3 offering. Not only does it provide Netflix, but it also streams your online Zune content. If you're not a Windows user, then these things are meaningless, of course. But the money Xbox receives from Live subscribers is put to good use by offering a top-notch experience, both online and off.
PS3 has Blu-Ray. Xbox will never have Blu-Ray.
Gaming is great on both systems, obviously. You should probably look into the exclusive titles for each console and see which games you prefer.
Oh, and console upgradability? What do you mean, exactly? They both receive updates automatically; the 360's process is decidedly less annoying & time-consuming. But as far as upgrades, I don't know what else you could be referring to. Hard drives? The 360 allows yo to unplug yours and insert a larger one, if you like. But that is very expensive.
