Survivor Nicaragua
Shani used to make these threads, but I don't see any thread for this season - Nicaragua. Anyone else watching?
So far this season has been pretty interesting, with the "young vs. old" tribes and the switch mid season. I also liked the concept of the item that you could use to make the challenge easier, but in turn had to had it over to the other tribe. I've been a big fan of Marty, so far, because I think he really does understand the strategy of the game and plays it like I would; likely because he's a 'technology executive.' It's really a shame that Kelly B had to go home, especially since everyone was doing it because of the leg.
What's worse, is that not only is Kelly B an amputee, but I found this out from the Survivor site. When asked what her inspiration was, "My father who was recently killed in the earthquake in Haiti. He was there with Food for the Poor to bring hope and aid to people less fortunate. My dad was a doctor, a teacher and a humanist. I most admired him and looked up to him for his willingness to help others." Now I'm not for pity votes, but damn!
Jud, aka "Fabio" makes me laugh. He's so dumb, and it he makes Courtney of the last season seem like a cunning strategist.
Brenda is a pretty good game player too, but I wonder if any of the guys (or girls?) are being wooed by her looks. She's incredibly attractive, and I imagine it probably lulls them like Pavarti's wiles did in previous seasons.
I'm glad they got rid of Jimmy T and Jimmy J. Jimmy T was obnoxious with his constant pleas of "I can do it guys, really I can!" and Jimmy Johnson had to go just because of his random celebrity that had everyone all dumbfounded.
I think Yve is a pretty solid vote on the old people team, and she seems like she really gets the game, or at least how people are.
