AJ Almendinger then said, to great cheers, "If the #12 and #18 get together, I want to be out front so I don't get involved." Tony Stewart then said during his intro, "Unlike AJ, if the #12 and #18 get together, I want to be behind them to see the wreck." Finally, Carl Edwards came out to his chosen theme song, "Why Can't We Be Friends". Other than the #42 taking out the #48,(and Jamie Mac passing Busch for the lead) those were the best moments of the night.
There are signs all along the catch fence warning fans about tossing cans and bottles (glass is prohibited) but that didn't stop anyone at the conclusion.
Many started leaving around lap 400 or so and it would be a safe bet to say the stands were only half full by the time Busch took the checkered.
I think he fancies himself the heir to Dale Sr's crown and he ain't no Dale Sr.
Egos are a major part of NASCAR but he goes above and beyond mere ego. His brother seems to have found out that being a pompous ass doesn't help you and eventually you will be just another racecar driver.
