I'll probably check it out, but I'm rather unsatisfied with how they went with realism. Mortal Kombat is supposed to be based on gods magic and outworld. Without those things its just going to be a dark film with the names of Mortal Kombat characters in it.
It's like making an X-Men movie without mutants.. or a Star Trek movie that takes place entirely on Earth.
