Mortal Kombat... Rebirth?
I have no idea if this is a fan movie, a teaser for a movie, a teaser for a video game, or just some big ploy to get people talking about something that isn't real. Either way... I liked it.

I'll probably check it out, but I'm rather unsatisfied with how they went with realism. Mortal Kombat is supposed to be based on gods magic and outworld. Without those things its just going to be a dark film with the names of Mortal Kombat characters in it.
It's like making an X-Men movie without mutants.. or a Star Trek movie that takes place entirely on Earth.

"It's not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film." about 22 hours ago via web Twitter / Jeri Ryan: It's not a game trailer. ...

I saw that post today Mexican, I think it would be a great idea. I understand where obiex is coming from, it is about gods and power. I don't think they can do it right tho (look at the first two), so maybe this will be a good direction for it.

I'm totally in this movie.
* * * * * This has to get made. At first, when I read the thread title and saw the embed, I was like, "NO! Let it die! FATALITY! FLAWLESS VICTORY!" But then I brought myself to watch the clip. It's a bit cheesy as far as the writing is concerned, but the vision and visual quality is exciting. I'd watch this film. ....just as long as Christopher Lambert and terrible dance music isn't in it.
