Wife reportedly wants half of Woods' fortune
"Men will side with Woods if wife gets greedy"
Men are "a very forgiving society"
DISGRACED golf star Tiger Woods could win public sympathy if his wife Elin Nordegren demands half of her husband's $US600 million ($682 million) fortune, experts say.
Once Nordegren appears money-grubbing, the public - particularly men - will side with Woods, sports image consultants told the Boston Herald.
It was reported in News of the World that Nordegren, a former Swedish model, will file for divorce and wants sole custody of their two children.
Woods has admitted infidelity during his marriage and up to 14 women have been linked with the superstar golfer.
Woods, 33, is said to be sailing on a boat to the Bahamas to escape the scrutiny and media coverage while Nordegren, 29, is believed to traveling to Sweden for Christmas with her family, Fox News reported.
While Woods has been criticised by public and media over his alleged cheating, Marc Ganis, president of Chicago-based Sports Corp, told the Boston Herald he thinks the golfer may find redemption once his wife looks money hungry.
“Once his wife appears greedy in a divorce settlement, men will give Tiger sympathy,” Ganis said.
“Watch how fast mens' attitudes change. We’re a very forgiving society.”
Sports consultant, Jim Delaney , of Boston-based Activate Sports & Entertainment told the Boston Herald that Woods would find acceptance through his performance on the golf course.
"This is nothing the public hasn’t seen before. His redemption can come if he performs up to his standards on the golf course," he said.
"But it has forced him into a much tougher comeback.”
But Ganis said even if Woods wins back the public it will be difficult to shake the image of womaniser.
"He’s got to expect for the rest of his life that if he smiles and shakes hands with a girl, she’ll say she slept with him," he said.

what does everyone think about this?
i definately thik it would swing the pendulum back in Tigers' favour. As a male, i know that i'd support Tiger in this case. Not that i support Tiger in what he did, i just dont think his wife would be entitled to 300M of his cash. what has she done to deserve it? what would she have made without him as a second rate model?
Sure, i can see the arguments already - she's due alimony payments, but its nowhere in the vicinity of 300Mil.
Will you back Tiger if his wife gets greedy?
