I am not a huge geek toy fan, and the Droid has me drooling.
I've been with Verizon for almost 4 years, and didn't want to switch for the same reasons - I like having excellent coverage.
However, as much as I want to run out and get it now that Verizon has something substantial enough to compete with the iPhone, I am going to hold off for a couple more months.
Warrreagl, did you have to upgrade your plan in order to take advantage of the Driod?
I currently get a corporate discount on my plan that helps, but I have a hard time justifying paying $100+ a month for phone service, unless I'm going to be on my phone 24/7.
I have a laptop at home and a PC at work with no filters for access. The only time I'm using my phone is when I'm out and about, and at some point you just have to cut the internet dependency. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself.
But man. I am so drooling over this phone right now.
