I absolutely played it, but I think I was too young to appreciate it. I was really terrible. It's funny, but I still remember some dining room, with a brown paper bag on the table, a sword.. and a trap door or some such. I think that's as far as I ever got, and always died. And something about a forest that was really confusing, also with a grate in the ground.
I also remember a room with sluice gates and lots of switches, and I always managed to botch that up too. But I'm thinking that might've been a different text adventure game, like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy..
