I would say the iPhone 3GS if your looking for the latest and greatest. Geeks obviously love this phone and have come out with a ton of mods for you to play with. Only go with a Windows Smartphone if you have very specific applications you need to run and your going to do some heavy-duty tasks on the go. I have the Blackberry Storm and its great. Simple, configurable, professional and it still has all the gadgets. You don't have to use App World to get apps either (also most apps need data capability). You can use your computer to put them on.

P.S. The Omnia II looks like a beast.
