I'm not quite sure if I am good or bad at recalling certain topics. But having been exposed to the wonderment and expansiveness of the internet's endless fountain of trivial pursuits/arguments/non-news does not help in my efforts to distinctively and actively try to attribute a memory into my mind.
So, I've taken up the habit of traveling around with a pad and pen everywhere, and I even have "digital notes" when I am online, so as the time when I encounter something interesting or important that I wish to recall, I jot it down physically/securely, and I will have that "tied red ribbon" with me always. Again, I'm not sure if this helps or hurts my memory-retention capabilities, but it sure is handy if I wish to forgot something without the mischance of never being able to retrieve of whatsoever I was thinking about precisely.
