I am ecstatic as a 49ers fan that they managed to get Crabtree.
While the QB and OL situation is far from solid, for once I can say they got a guy who was the consensus best at his position in the draft. Not a combine warrior like Vernon Davis was, or a guy who could be good like Rashaun Woods or Kwame Harris and never ends up doing anything.
He may turn out to be a Reggie Bush or Ryan Leaf style bust, but at least I can say he was the best at the position coming out that year, so at least they made an effort to do something.
I like them getting the #1 pick from Carolina next year but they usually field a solid team so I picture it being in that 20-25 range of pick.
