I run 3-5 miles 3x a week. Planning on adding some 6 milers and 7 milers to my routine soon as I get up to that level. Lift on the same days as I run. The workout I use consists of simple, compound movements. Squat|Bench Press|Deadlift, and Squat|Press (Shoulder)|Power Clean (pm me if u want details).

I am also going to add swimming to my routine so I workout for a total of 5 or 6 days. I used to be 190 pounds and now I am down to 170. I have mainly been running so I have developed more a skinny, long physique. I have recently started working out so hopefully that should change in another 2 or 3 months. Plus swimming is an anaerobic exercise so that should also help develop my fast twitch fibers [along with weightlifting].

3/4 hr weights...wtfff, plz dear God..tell me thats not for one day.

In general, the optimal length (mentally and physically) for any workout should be less than one hour.
