I'm sure the S5 is a good camera, but it just isn't the right size for me right now. The G9 has potential and so does the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5. Neither of them is perfect though, but I'm not sure the perfect camera for me exists. And I'm not sure why remote controls for compact cameras are so hard to come by.

The Sigma SD1 was also in the running, but they didn't put a good enough lens on it. It could have been great if they would have pit a decent f2 or f2.8 lens on it and a 4x zoom. I'm sure I'll want the next release of it though.
