I agree with all others basically- get a four stroke.
Scooters are cool, why worry about bashing?

You should probably be more interested in HP then CC. The newer scooters with 50cc get about 5-7 HP where the older ones (70's and 80's) needed 150cc to get that many horses.
How much HP do you need? Depends. How big are you? Are you going to be carrying a passenger?
