Farve is now asking the Packers for an unconditional release. I think Green Bay should go for it. Win/win for everybody. Packers get to resume building their offense around Rodgers, Farve gets to continue playing, and somewhere out there, a team will get a bump in ticket sales. |
It's not win/win. The teams most likely to actively pursue Favre are The Bears, The Vikings, and The Lions. How scary would the Vikes be with Favre behind center. There is no win/win here except that way everyone would look like a good guy; but that's not going to win ball games. I'm disappointed in how this is going down.
