Is it because you don't want to deal with all the league stuff or you just want to play every once in a while so you don't want to commit to a team?

Can't play the game for fun, I never have, any team I've played on has always been competitive, be it the all-star teams in minor hockey, AAA, Jr. B, Jr. A, I've only played hockey that means something in standing, so I've never learned to play it for fun.
That and it's damaged my body too much, arthritis galore, shoulders that won't stay in place, sore knees, bad ankles, and I'm only 30. I tried a pick up game about 3 or 4 years ago with my dad, it didn't go well, I was winded and couldn't do most of the things I once could so I didn't enjoy it at all.
