powering LCD

So I have this LCD. And it runs off 12v DC. And I dont want to half to buy a power cord for it. So I got thinking. My psu puts off 12v. Can I take one of the 12v leads for a HD and use it to power the LCD? I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work. I checked the yellow and black wire and its a constant 12.5vdc

Thanks,
