I must be old, because I do too. I just group them in with all the newer stuff as well. Due to age (and therefore depth of musical field combined with sheer grumpiness) I tend to lump it all together more than most.
Still, I've been listening to Digital Gunfire since you first showed me that link (1 or 2 years ago now, maybe? Ever since I switched to foobar as my music player, I know that), Halx, and it has kicked ass the entire time.
It's very true that the evolution of the style is definitely still in motion, unlike some of the electronic music styles out there. I must say, I'm glad of it. As long as they keep making stuff I like, I'll keep listening.
