a few years back - my father, a person who could give fred flintstone a run for his snoring money (he'd often snore so loudly, he'd wake himself up) was diagnosed with a heart condition - one of the things the doctor suggested doing (unrelated to snoring) was to raise the head of the bead a few inches (basically put the head of the bed on some blocks so he'd be sleeping on a slight tilt)
One or two nights into this - my mother wasn't getting any sleep at all becase she'd wake up in the middle of the night to deafening silence -raisign the head of the bed stopped his snorning and my mother was sure he'd died during the night... (I suppose after 40+ years of marriage you can get used to anything
anyhow - try raising the head of the bed a few inches - put some blocks in your suitcase and see if it helps - as long as the bed isn't bolted to the ground.. it might work
