Helpdesk level 2 or 3 suits me best. Helpdesk level 1 answering phones, I didn't mind it, but I didn't get the same level of satisfaction as having the bailout button to escalate something I diidn't feel like or didn't want to do to level 2 or 3.

Such self-awareness!! Many people never get to that point. Sounds like you've almost created a brand for yourself in recognizing what gives you enjoyment at work.
It's so important to find something YOU like doing. What others think may help you focus but ultimately none of that matters.
