Job Seeking Question
I'm currently looking for a summer job.
Really I want to be a server or bartender @ a restaurant near my house.
I went there and dropped of my resume and filled out an application the other day.
The manager who was there, while quickly looking at my resume (he seemed impressed with a few of the other restaurants Ive worked at) informed me that he was transferring out and all he could do was submit this to his GM and she'll probably call me back in a few days as they should be strongly hiring.
Well its been 2 days now, and no response. The job market that I'm in, is one for the workers. I could go out and get a job anywhere, and start that day. literally!
Everyone knows this. So one would assume that they would be trying to contact me ASAP, as it would be very likely that I already have a job, and would no longer be interested in this one.
This is a server job, so they have their mold that they like you to fit. I however would assume I fit this mold. (looks) I do have plenty of restaurant experience, unfortunately no serving experience.
Should I go back in and hope that a different manager is working or the GM is there. It's possible that he forgets to submit mine, or doesnt even care to as he is transferring out.
OR was this manager just brushing me off?
