While she may be "right" it still doesn't avoid the hassle and time it takes. I have the freedoms to do lots of things, but that doesn't mean I do them because I'd rather not have the hassle.

Slight threadjack of my own thread here. Time and time again, the courts have rightly upheld the jurisdiction of local school boards and communities in determining the boundaries of moral terpitude and ethical behavior of its professionals. Teachers are expected to be legally bound by the ethics and mores of the communities they serve, and if she's a recent teacher ed student then she should have learned this in school.
Her photos wouldn't have caused so much as an eye-blink in many communities across this nation. However, there are other communities where her judgement would be seriously undermined by the contents of those photos. It is not rare at all for teachers to be fired in small towns for having extra-marital affairs, because it ruins their credibility with the community.
