How did yall find out that your kids are a high risk for being autistic?

I have a mild form high-functioning autism. I'm very smart (genius level) but have difficulty with social interactions. For example, I find it very uncomfortable to maintain eye contact, and have to pay very close attention to pick up on body language type stuff. I've learned how to work around most of my issues, so it's not like I can't get a job, have friends, go to parties, etc.
