and that's what is producing the error: Cable Not Connected, because it doesn't detect one so it tells you that one isn't there.
My laptop says that all the time when connected via WiFi in the house, but when I go to a hotel with a wired connection or connect to the wire at home, it stops.
You can disable that network device since you don't use it.
