You are right, the film is not perfect, there a number of flaws BUT it's a nice little gem nonetheless. I haven't seen it in years but I did reread Tropic of Cancer recently.

And I hadn't heard that about Brassai before, but now that you mention it. Ya! I can see it. I'm a Brassai enthusiast. I love his photographs.
I'm a so-so fan of Henry Miller. I do love Anais Nin, though. I think I have yet to meet a woman who
loves Henry Miller, lol. I've always meant to try and read the trilogy he wrote...Sexus, Plexus...there's another one I can't think of right now...but haven't gotten around to it.
There's so many books to read...
Any female Henry Miller fans around here? Inquiring mind wants to know.
