As for your skin being hot the past couple of nights, I'd give it more like a week or so before putting too much thought into it. You could have an infection that the body fights off well enough during the day, but not well enough at night when your body starts to slow down to go to sleep, hence the heat. This is even if you don't feel like you're running a fever, but are hot everywhere.
People fight infections constantly, but we only notice them when they give us symptoms like coughing, sneezing, etc. Give it 5-7 days from when it started, but keep in mind that the total time to rid yourself of a pathogen you've not battled before can be up to 14 days. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you start having other symptoms, start running a fever, or it lasts more than 2 weeks.
