get Corsair. There was a debacle some years back with OCZ and since then I haven't trusted them enough to buy their products. I'm quite happy with my Corsair memory though.
As for motherboards, I like ASUS and MSI. I used to have Abit boards until they screwed me on an RMA. If you want the extra expansion slots, go for the gigabyte. Otherwise, I'd stick with ASUS.
