While I don't take issue with your position of thinking it was inappropriate, I can hardly agree that it sent a message that that's the *only* way girls can get attention...

There's nothing inherently wrong or bad with nudity, but that doesn't mean that it's completely appropriate for youngsters.
Europeans don't seem to worry about nudity for their kids, and they haven't imploded yet.
