in that different data is it 100% all different data or is it some of the data on the DVD you are burning.
you are really not being very clear.

The thing is,if a set of files freezes it, close out, reboot, drop in a new dvd etc. and when i try burning the same files again, it stops at pretty much the exact same place regarding the burning progress. I can again close out, reboot, and drop in a new dvd, and burn the same batch of data, and itll freeze again yielding a frozen nero burn screen, a non-repsonsive dvd drive, and when going into mycomputer to view the properites of the dvd being burned, it comes up as a blank dvd.

that's all the same data, I'm assuming there's a single file there that's corrupting it.
Now the same issues with CD burns (which is why I hated burning them in the first place) had buffer underrun errors consistently on various files for me. I'm assuming that DVDs suffer from the same types of problems since I don't always get DVD data burns 100% all the time. I even get some bus overflow errors moving >2Gb files to an external USB2.0 drive.
