As a girl. I LOVE it when somebody finds a deal, even when it's for me. Really it sometimes takes more effort to find a good deal than it does to just walk in, buy something off the shelf and pay full price for it. To me it's the effort that matters most I think.
I personally will shop at the thrift stores in town before I'll go to the retail for a lot of stuff. We haven't got a pawn shop that I know of but I'd go to one of those as well.
Only thing I won't buy used is underclothing. Jackets, shoes (unless they're dingy sneakers), household stuff and books or tapes/CD's are fair game.
