I thought ultimate spider man was awesome... never played spider man 2 though.
The controls are really hard to get used to at first, but eventually you get used to it. The actual storyline of the game is really short, you could probably beat it in a few hours of constant playing. The races are what kept me occupied for a long time though, I managed to get gold medals in everything except the insane races. The insane races are appropriately named because they are, in fact, insane.
The best part of the game in my opinion was getting used to the controls. When you first start playing, the easy races seem really hard. Eventually though, you get the hang of the controls and the easy races become possible. Then you move up to the medium races and those are really hard, but then the process repeats and those become easier for you. Eventually, if you keep playing, the hard races become a piece of cake because you just *know* which buildings spidey is going to sling off of and how much momentum you need, how much height you need, etc.
I really enjoyed this game.
