I just watched this last night. At first (well, after the first little bit) I was unsure about the movie due to the all-female cast spending some time drinking and joking and doing some pretty boring stuff. I was afraid the whole movie would be like that. I'm glad I was totally wrong

Either way, those fuckin morlocks were insanely creepy... very well done
However, I have to question some of the stuff these people were doing in that cave... running blindly through the dark... I've never even BEEN spelunking and I know you don't do that... crevases (sp?) everywhere

Spoiler:
As I understand it, she dreamed of escaping, but it didn't really happen. Kind of a "even if I get away, I'll never be free of it." That last bit with her daughter and the candles fully signaled her complete descent into madness, and I believe she actually became one of those creatures at the end of it all.
Yeah, those morlocks were perfectly done. And the way they're intro'd with little glimpses.. and then seeing it close up through a night vision camera standing right behind one of the girls.. gave me shivers.. very very well done.
As for the things they do vs. common sense... it's a horror movie, it's expected they'll do dumb things now and then
Overall an awesome horror flick (and I'm usually not a fan of horror movies). Check it out. I started this moving thinking "hmm, spelunking.. that'd be cool". And by the end of it I don't want to go anywhere near a cave...
