This attitude drives me absolutely crazy... and I'm going to put on my parental type hat and scold...
If you think you are old enough to be having sex, then you are old enough to act sexually responsible. If you have even the slightest inkling that something may be wrong... Get to the doctor as soon as possible.
An STD is not a death sentence, and not all of them are permanent conditions -- UNLESS you choose to neglect it, then you open yourself up for all sorts of problems down the road.
