I've tried a variety of power outlets around my apartment and none of them work - it was the first thing I tried. And yea, what clued me to the problem was when I flip the back power switch to on, nothing happens. I don't
think it's the power cord - but I don't have another cord to test. My guess was something in the actual PS2's power supply came loose, or who the hell knows - hence why I was disassembling.
I did manage to pull everything apart (turns out I just had to tug really hard to lift the top board off the bottom one). I convinced myself that since it was already broken, if I broke it, it couldn't get any worse

I got it two years ago for 120$ - it's served me well, but I can't afford a replacement, so I'm just working with what I've got. Here's a few more photos of what I've done since last night. And yea, I'm breaking into the Ruffles & St. Pauli Girl to help me with today's work
