I'm betting MS won't drop the price for at least a year to a year and a half. They'll prob cut costs to make the 360 but I doubt that price difference will be passed on to us as soon as it's possible. After all if you want cheap, well that's why they're selling the version without the wireless & harddrive features.
As for the release... MS said they're shipping tons, but I know a few stores around here that are already swamped with pre orders
