As long as the meat was fresh and had been properly refregerated for all stops along the way (including from slaughter to the supermarket) he should be OK. Obviously you have no control over it before you get it, so if you've never gotten bad meat from that market before, chances are pretty good he's alright.
On the other hand, most of the "bad stuff" on meat tends to be on the exerrior edges where airborne bacteria can settle and stick to, which is where the marinade was sitting. So there may be some foodborne nasties happening.
He'll probably get the runs pretty bad. Shouldn't be anything worse than that.
