Another good trick is visualization. Were you always big? If you have a picture of yourself when you were thinner, stick it up on the bathroom mirror so that you'll be able to see it every day. If you don't you need to use your imagination. Tell yourself that you're going to be thin every day, imagine yourself doing things that you're unable to do now but will be able to when you're healthier and you'll start believeing it. Once you start believeing it you'll be able to make the changes that will make it happen.
The human mind is an incredible thing. Believe in yourself, believe that it's going to happen and it will.
