In order to learn from me
You chose to let me be
Parting words thrown in haste
seared open cracked wounds
The salt of the sea is its life
no less required than tides
trapped within the moons pull
Without knowing the reason why
All I did was search for truth and cry
Only when confronted by myself
to see the glass reflects no lies
when in bright light shines away
shadows of boosted ego chased
This light makes up me today

just paint arranged on boards
this shaken fence set to hold
trapped and kept in unwilled
This dust settles in all corners
a second skin grimy and rough
all the more to make me say

fleeting envy fills this hole
Spoons fill up to swollen mouth
While last drops burst the flood
Early bears roused from sleep
a month too soon the sunrise seen
melting walls of ice let in
sailing breezes scented light

so alike and yet still not the same
light fills one so darkness hides
a glance of illusion hints of a fit
that all too soon really is a miss
pieces left instead to play a game
in which another found not the same
a bridge to make across the space
and pieces changed to something new
