I am running Windows XP, Media Center Edition.

As far as my topology. The DLS cable connects to the modem, which then connects to a DI-624 router. The router then connects to the two computers using ethernet cables.

I am having no problems whatsoever on the second computer.

I know my problem is rather vague and hard to explain, but thanks for helping. I do believe that the Bt client has something to do with it, but I'm not exactly sure how/why. I've been using the Bt client for about seven months, but only recently has this problem began to occur. I will try the power-cycle thing to see if things change. Again, thank you all for your help.
