DVD to OGG Vorbis/Theora
I searched for the word "theora" in all forums, and interestingly enough came up with /zero/ matches... so on with the question.
I'm trying to archive my DVDs in case of dvd-rot, and have been using Gordian Knot with much success. I'm not an expert by any means, but I can wonder around the program and get 'er done.
What I would like to do now is experiment with trying to convert my DVD into an OGG/OGM file, having Vorbis for audio and Theora for video.
Has anyone been able to do this, in Windows or Linux? I'm using Windows XP Professional currently but I bet I could figure out a way to use any Windows-based program if someone provided Linux/BSD/*nix instructions.
What do I have to download? How do I make he actual encoding program recognize the OGG related encoders instead of DivX/XviD?
