When I was a little kid, we took a family vacation to New Orleans. On the way there we stopped at a tacky roadside tourist shop that had several chickens in a big cage made to look like a basketball court. For a quarter you could watch them run around pecking at a foam ball. When they put the ball through the hoop, a few kernels of corn would drop into a tray. End of show.
At least these present-day chickens are getting designer clothes, media attention, and a chance to travel the world.
