I have a bookmark in my browser (I luv Firefox) that links to the forum page, not the home page. I'll just check out the home page every now and again to stay abreast of updates and what-not.
I've recently started using the New Posts link at the top of the page to look for new stuff, but apart from that, it's a case of whatever catches my eye. I'm still coming to terms with the whole active bookmarks/rss feeds thing though.
