I don't really get that from it at all. If anything Corner Gas is more like a live action version of Family Guy, what with the absurdity and non-sequiter flash backs.

Frasier has that type of witty humour you have to think about, which I think Corner Gas (and Trailer Park Boys) has to some extent. I love the flashbacks though! *shrugs*
