My indoor cacti are the most spoiled plants in the clavus household. They have custom homes. I threw these on a wheel. For those of you who care, they are all stoneware, fired at cone 10 (ooo! hot!!!)

This pot is porcelain. I put some blue slip on it and carved some wild-looking fishies all over it before the first firing. Clear glaze went on for firing #2. Sadly, the long-time resident of this pot did not survive the Winter.

This pot causes cactus erections. It is also porcelain.

I went a little crazy with glaze and resists on this one. The effect was not what I thought it would be. But I still think it’s cool.

Oooo! Pretty colors. The glaze did exactly what I wanted it to do. Huh! What are the odds?

I carved out Mr. Sun, filled the carving with colored slip, fired it, then glazed it with clear. A lot of work for a marginal effect, but the sedum loves living here.
