Assuming the server is live, enable the proxy extension with said server and try to find a page that will spit back your IP at you. http://www.whatismyip.com/ come to mind. If the IP it lists is the proxy's IP, then your good to go. |
the thing is is that i dont know what i did wrong. I downloaded the extension from Mozilla forums; i got the proxy button on the screen; when i right click the mouse, i can see 'switch proxy'. but it doesnt do zippo.
I am going to read the suggestions above and then report back. thanks guys.
