Boudreaux bin fish'n down by de bayou all day when he up an' run outta
nightcrawlers. He be 'bout reddy to leabe when he seen a snake
wid a big ol' frog in his mout'. Boudreaux know'd dat dem big
bass fish like dem frogz, so he decided to steal dat froggie from dat
snake.
Dat snake - he be a big ol' cotton mouff'd water moccasin - so Boudreaux
had to be reel keerful or he'd be fer a-gettin' bit. He
sneeks up behine dat snake and grabbed him roun' back behine his haid.
Dat ol' snake didn't lak dat one bid. He squirmed and wrapped
hisself tight all roun' Boudreaux's arm try'n to get hisseff
free. But Boudreaux, hisseff, had a reel good grip on de
snake's haid.
Well, Boudreaux pry'd de snake's mouff open wid his knife and got de
frog out and puts it in his baitcan. Now, Boudreaux knows dat
he cain't be lettin' go dat snake or he gonna be fer a-bitin' him
good - so's he makes hisseff a plan. He reech back into
de back pocket of his bib overhauls and pulls out a pint-a moonshine
likker. Uncappin' it, he pour some drops into de snake's
mouff. Well, dat snake's eyeballs roll on back in his haid an'
his body go cleen flat limp an' he just natcher'ly unwinds an' right
falls offa Boudreaux's arm.
Wit dat - Boudreaux picks de snake up and toss it ker-splash back into
de bayou. Den he go on a-back to fishin'.
A li'l while later, Boudreaux dun feel sumpin' a-tappin' on his barefoot
toe.
He slowly look down and dere be dat water moccasin ... wid two frogs.
